The Honorary President and Vice Presidents are appointed each year from the region where the show would have taken place had it traveled across the country again and this time they represent the Highlands and Islands.

To celebrate the 200e Royal Highland Show (RHS), the chairmen have used the theme ‘Scotland’s Natural Capital – Highlands and Islands’ to create an exhibition which will focus on tourism and culture and food and drink, as well as renewable energy and fight against climate change.

Honorary Chairman Ewan Macdonald said: “We are extremely proud to have the chance to be the host region in this very special year for the Royal Highland Show.

“And we take the opportunity to demonstrate how we have survived and thrived for centuries in this part of the world, using our natural resources.”

The RHS will run for four days from Thursday June 23 to Sunday June 26.
