The Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society launches a search for those deserving of the Long Service Award

Farm and agricultural workers in Pembrokeshire, who have worked the land for 25 years or more, can be nominated for the Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society’s Long Service Award 2022.

The President and Board of the Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society wish to offer registered awards to male and female workers who have not previously received a Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society Long Service Award.

The 2022 Long Service Awards presentation will take place on Wednesday August 17 at 4pm, in the Chairman’s Pavilion at the Pembrokeshire County Show and the award recipient and guest will receive free admission tickets to the show.

Mansel Raymond, president of the Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society, said:

“We look forward to receiving nominations for this year’s Long Service Award. It is always a great pleasure for us as a company to recognize those who have been employed for such a significant period by a county employer. We recognize what an achievement this is and it deserves recognition. The committee’s decision will be final. »

The conditions for awarding the prize are as follows:

  1. The recipient must, on the first day of the annual show, have been in continuous service for 25 years on the same farm, or continuously in service with the same employer in Pembrokeshire.
  2. The employer must be a member of the Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society for the current year.

For those eligible, please complete the online application form and return it by Sunday July 31, 2022. If you are unable to complete the online form, please contact the show office at: 01437 764331. To apply online:

The Pembrokeshire County Show, Wales’ largest agricultural show, takes place over two days this year on August 17 and 18. This year’s event, the first open to the public since 2019, will be a celebration of rural life in the county.

Mansel Raymond added,

“We are very excited to see our wonderful members, competitors, trade booths, sponsors and community come together again in August. Whether you’re a Pembrokeshire local or just visiting, we’re sure you’ll have a fantastic day.”
